ABC News Report: Bullying Statistics

This report caught my eye as it is my worst fear. I cant imagine what Ryan's parents had to go through when they found out. It could have easily happened so different. Bullying statistics show that 77% of students are bullied mentally, verbally, & physically. Since bullying is affecting such a large range of people some people are going to take it harder than others. This is why we should take the initiative in schools to end bullying once and for all.

Thank you for sharing this story, a parent’s worst nightmare. It provides a horrific glimpse into the life of a child who was tormented needlessly.

I just want to say to Ryan's family that I will keep you in my prayers always. Not only was I bullied severly as a child myself but I lost my 29year old brother to suicide last year because he was arguing with his wife of 3 months. Love is a very powerful thing. People just want to feel accepted and we can all make a difference by befriending others.

Thankyou for this video. It motivated me to really treat everybody the way i'd like to be treated. I am not going to let kids be put down in my school. Kids like Ryan shouldn't have to go through that at all. For kids like ryan, i hope to give guidance if possible, to help them. Ryan is in my prayers and i am going to try to treat everybody equally, and help out others. love everybody! Godbless

This story touched my heart deeply. I appreciate you for coming out and sharing this experience with the world. Bullying is NOT alright. I actually was bullyied when I was in middle school and still remember it. Thankfully I have the chance to talk to other students and inform them on the lastly effects that bullying can have on someone if not properly dealt with. I think teachers need to do a better job of watching and observing in the schools to make sure that students are being responsible for their actions towards one another.

Wow--strong story here of how people's actions can be perceived through a personal filter. Our intentions are not judged--it is our actions that are.
